elastomer

elastomer
1) a polymeric material that may experience large and reversible elastic deformations.
2) a rubber based material, elastomers combine properties of both solids and liquids. An elastomer displays both elastic and hysteretic damping characteristics, this makes them suitable for use in elastomeric vibration and shock isolator products.
